Srinagar, Dec 04 (KNS): J&K Peoples Conference General Secretary and AJKSA President Imran Reza Ansari on Thursday issued a strong denunciation of the NC-led government’s recently announced reservation changes, branding them a calculated assault on vulnerable Kashmiri-speaking communities masquerading as reform.

In his statement, Ansari observed that the current dispensation has unveiled what it calls “Thoda Sa Rationalisation,” describing it as “A polite euphemism for daylight robbery polished as administrative reform.”

Highlighting the reported quota reductions, Ansari remarked, “they have trimmed RBA from 10% to 7% and hacked EWS from 10% to a helpless 3%, then conveniently inflated Open Merit as if it were some benevolent favour to the perpetually suffering Unreserved lot.”

Framing the policy with unvarnished candor, he said, “Put simply, take from the hills and the impoverished, hand it over to the valleys, and sanctify the entire exercise under the guise of ‘balance.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel’”

“This isn’t reform but linguistic gymnastics staging a heist. I call it "Rob Peter to Pay Paul" and then give Paul a podium to lecture Peter on equality while both get fleeced by this spineless and visionless government,” Ansari added.

PC General Secretary warned that the move would severely damage the already fragile representation of Kashmiri speaking communities. “Kashmiri speaking communities already gasping for genuine representation and space are treacherously shown the door and told to clap for their own exit,” he said.

Terming the policy socially divisive and politically hare-brained, he added, “This is a masterclass in dividing people of the same language, eroding trust and still posing it as fair-minded justice.”

Concluding with sharp criticism, Ansari declared the entire exercise “sick, absolutely pathetic.”
