36 J&K Police Officers Deputed for Haj-2025 Duty in Saudi Arabia, Including 3 SPs

Srinagar, April 16 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has sanctioned the temporary deputation of 36 police officers to Saudi Arabia for Haj-2025 duties, following a formal request from the Ministry of Minority Affairs and requisite approvals from J&K Police Headquarters and CID.


The selected personnel will serve under the Consulate General of India (CGI) in Jeddah, where they will assist as Haj Officers and Haj Superintendents to facilitate the annual pilgrimage. Among those chosen are three Superintendents of Police—Peerzada Aijaz Ahmed, Ruhail Mircha, and Mohd Muzaffer Jan—highlighting the importance of this international deployment.

The list also includes Inspectors, Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), Selection Grade Constables, and Constables, showcasing a diverse mix of experienced officers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelNotable names include Inspectors Gowhar Ahmad Bhat, Mubashar Hussain Shah, and ASIs like Zahoor Ahmad Wani and Bilal Ahmad Ganaie, along with several others from across the region.

All deputed officers have been instructed to report to the Ministry of Minority Affairs at the CGO Complex in New Delhi on April 21, 2025, to complete formalities before their overseas assignment. In addition, an advance Travel Allowance (TE) has been approved for their journey as per standard government protocols.

This move underscores the collaborative effort between the Centre and the J&K administration in ensuring smooth arrangements for Haj pilgrims and reflects the trust placed in local police personnel for managing international duties. (KNS)
