Srinagar, Dec 04(KNS): Six workers from south Kashmir's Kulgam district lost their lives and an several other were injured in a Shimla road accident.
According to SP Shimla Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, the fatal incident occurred when their truck plunged into a gorge at Kararghat. He said tht the three workers died on the spot, while others succumbed to injuries at a hospital.
The deceased, hailing from Kulgam, were identified as Fareed Ahmad Deedar (24), Gulam Hussain Gorsi (43), Shabir Ahmad Deedar (19), Talib Hussain Tinda (23), Gulzar Ahmad Deedar (30), and Mushtaq Ahmad Dedar (30).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The injured are currently receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital. DC Kulgam, Dr. Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat, expressed condolences and mentioned ongoing coordination with Shimla Administration to transport the bodies to their native villages.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also conveyed his sympathies via microblogging, expressing sorrow over the tragic accident and directing assistance to the bereaved families.(KNS).
