Kupwara Jan 31 (KNS): In wake of snowfall, the district administration Kupwara in north Kashmir has restricted vehicular movement towards the border areas as a precautionary measure.
While talking to KNS Special Correspondent , Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Ayushi Sudan (IAS) advised residents living in the upper reaches to refrain from unnecessary outdoor activities until the improvement of weather conditions.
The electricity supply has remained affected in some areas of the district due to the snowfall, local residents said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAlthough the weather improved to some extent this afternoon, according to locals the power supply continues to remain erratic.
"However, adequate stock of ration, sugar and flour has already been dumped in the upper areas and people need not to panic. The power department has been asked to ensure the supply according to the curtailment schedule,” DC said. (KNS)
