Srinagar, Mar 10 (KNS): Hojjat-ul-Islam Wal-Muslimeen Agha Syed Hassan Mousvi Safvi, President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian, expressed deep sorrow and righteous indignation over a recent fashion show held in Gulmarg during the sacred month of Ramadan. He condemned the event, calling it a disgraceful and obscene display that undermines the moral and religious values of Kashmir.
uring Ramadan—a period of spiritual purification—was particularly offensive. He described the incident as a deliberate attempt to diminish the moral integrity that has defined Kashmir for centuries.
Quoting from the Holy Qur’an, he reminded the people of the dangers of moral corruption, citing Surah An-Nur, 24:19, which warns against spreading immorality among the faithful.

Citing further Qur'anic verses, he stressed the importance of modesty, urging believers to uphold ethical and moral standards in all aspects of life. He called on all to work together to ensure that Kashmir’s tourism industry remains aligned with its cultural and religious identity, avoiding the promotion of immodesty.
Agha Syed Hassan vowed to take necessary steps to prevent any moral degradation in Kashmir and protect the future of the youth, assuring the people that such acts would not be tolerated. He concluded with a prayer for Allah’s guidance to preserve the sanctity of the homeland. (KNS)
