AIP Seeks Resolution of NHM, Veterinary Interns’ Issues

Ready

Srinagar, Sept 18 (KNS) : Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi on Friday urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government to urgently resolve the genuine and long-pending issues of NHM employees and veterinary interns.

In a statement issued, Inam Un Nabi said NHM employees, including ASHAs, ANMs, nurses, paramedics and other frontline workers, have played a significant role in strengthening the public healthcare system, particularly in remote and difficult areas. Their contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic, he said, further demonstrated the importance of their services.

Inam Un Nabi urged the Government to address their demands relating to job security, remuneration and long-term service prospects through a fair and time-bound mechanism.

Inam also urged the Government to intervene in the ongoing peaceful protest by veterinary interns, saying their demand for enhancement of internship stipend deserves immediate consideration.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“Veterinary interns perform essential clinical and field duties and contribute to animal healthcare, livestock protection, food security and public health. They should not be compelled to remain on the streets for a genuine demand,” he said.

Inam Un Nabi appealed to the concerned departments to engage with representatives of both NHM employees and veterinary interns and resolve their issues at the earliest.

“Those serving people and strengthening essential services deserve dignity, fair treatment and security. The Government must listen to their concerns and act without further delay,” Inam said.(KNS)
