Srinagar, July 19 (KNS): AJKA President and Sr General Secretary Molvi Imran Ansari has expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in Chainbal (Pattan), where a water scarcity protest turned violent. The local police have been accused of using excessive force and live ammunition on protesters, resulting in alarming reports of injuries and damage.
In a statement issued here, Movli Imran Ansari said, "The situation in Chainbal (Pattan) is deeply disturbing and unacceptable," said Molvi Imran Ansari. "The right to water is a fundamental human right, and it is the responsibility of the government to ensure access to this basic necessity. Molvi Imran Ansari has called for an immediate end to the violence and urged the authorities to respect the protesters' rights and protect them from harm. He has also demanded that the government take concrete steps to address the water scarcity issue and ensure that the people of Chainbal (Pattan) have access to this basic necessity.
