Gulmarg, September 11 (KNS): An emotional farewell programme was organised in Gulmarg on Friday in honour of outgoing Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tariq Hussain, with officers and members of the local trade fraternity attending the programme.

The farewell was attended by several officers from the Tangmarg Sub-Division, including the SDM Gulmarg, SDPO Gulmarg, Tehsildar Tangmarg, SHO Gulmarg and SHO Tangmarg, besides other officials and members of the Gulmarg business community.

Newly appointed GDA CEO Alyas Ahmad Naisroo was also present on the occasion as he took charge of the Authority.

During the programme, speakers warmly recalled Tariq Hussain’s two-year tenure and appreciated his efforts towards improving the cleanliness, appearance and overall management of Gulmarg.

Members of the trade fraternity expressed gratitude to Hussain for his contribution and said his working style and coordination with stakeholders would be remembered.

Speaking on the occasion, Tariq Hussain thanked the officers, traders and other stakeholders for their continued cooperation and support throughout his tenure, saying that their collective support had helped him discharge his responsibilities effectively.

The programme turned emotional as colleagues and stakeholders bid farewell to the outgoing CEO and wished him success in his future assignments.

The gathering also welcomed newly appointed CEO GDA Alyas Ahmad Naisroo and expressed hope that he would carry forward the development initiatives and further strengthen Gulmarg’s tourism infrastructure and management.(KNS)
