J&K people need to rid themselves of emotional politics, and misleading political narratives, Says Ghulam Hassan Mir

Srinagar, March 9 (KNS): Apni Party senior vice president, Ghulam Hassan Mir, on Saturday, said that “youth in Jammu and Kashmir have been falling prey to the emotional sloganeering by traditional political parties.” He emphasized that “the people of J&K need to rid themselves of deceitful narratives and emotional slogans in order to focus on the politics of positivity.”

He made these remarks today while addressing a large public rally in the Hardu Aboora area of Tangmarg, where people thronged to the rally venue to greet Ghulam Hassan Mir and his accompanying leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Our challenge is to save our youngsters from falling victim to the deceptive sloganeering and emotional political narratives perpetuated by traditional political parties.”

“We have already suffered greatly over the past three decades. Hundreds of thousands of our young people have died or been jailed while following misleading political narratives. Our focus must be on positive politics to ensure peace, prosperity, and development in this land. For a better future, Jammu and Kashmir need peace and stability,” he added.

Speaking about the agenda and policies of Apni Party Ghulam Hassan Mir said, “Apni Party was established on March 8, 2020, at a time when the people of Jammu and Kashmir were grappling with distress due to the events of August 5, 2019. It was a time when the entire region was crippled, with all businesses closed and thousands of youth in jails. Under the leadership of Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, we assembled and decided to step forward to ensure the rights of the people were secured. At that time, people were apprehensive that J&K might lose its identity and undergo a demographic change. We had two options: to remain silent like the traditional politicians or to come forward and stand with our people. We chose the latter, and that's how Apni Party was established four years ago.”

He went on to say, “We went to meet the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and other leaders in New Delhi and convinced them to announce special rights for the people of J&K regarding agricultural land and jobs. We succeeded. I assure you that once we receive the public mandate in the upcoming elections, we will urge the central government to provide constitutional guarantees for the special rights of the people regarding land and jobs here.”

Ghulam Hassan Mir further said that Apni Party is dedicated to ensuring the protection of the Muslim identity of Kashmir and the protection of the constitutional rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said, “We are committed to protecting the identity of Jammu and Kashmir and its people. We will fight for this both politically and constitutionally, but we will never lead our youth down the path of destruction, as traditional parties have done over the years. Our youngsters are our assets, and we are dedicated to protecting them and creating avenues for their better future.”

“We will never try to allure people through fake promises and misleading slogans. Our politics is based on honesty and truth,” he added.

He said that people in Jammu and Kashmir are grappling with a range of social problems and public issues. He assured that Apni Party will ensure that these issues are resolved promptly.

However, Ghulam Hassan Mir urged people to contribute for a peaceful environment. He said, “For prosperity and development, Jammu and Kashmir needs permanent peace and stability. Peace and stability will ensure prosperity and development, which are important for the economic empowerment of the people.”

Reiterating Apni Party’s commitment to the people, Ghulam Hassan Mir said, “We are committed to the people that when our Govt comes, it will enhance the marriage assistance for the women up to One Lakh rupees from the existing assistance of Rs 50,000; and widows pension from existing RS 1000 up to Rs 5000 each beneficiary. Also, we will provide 500 units of electricity free to the consumers of Valley in the winter and 300 units in the summers. While in Jammu, 500 units of electricity would be given free in summer and 300 units in winter. Also, we, if in government, will give 4 gas cylinders free to every household annually.”
