Jammu, January 2 (KNS): Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, on Thursday, reaffirmed party’s commitment to its “core agenda of fostering lasting peace, sustained prosperity, and equitable development in Jammu and Kashmir.”

 He said that “Although Apni Party did not win the elections, the people have given us a mandate to work in the opposition. This party will play a vibrant role in highlighting public issues, grievances, and the aspirations of the people.”

Ghulam Hassan Mir made these comments while addressing a meeting of party leaders and senior workers in Jammu today.

A party press release issued here reads: “At the beginning of the New Year, Apni Party leaders gathered at the party office in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, to hold a review meeting and outline a future strategy to further strengthen the party across all regions of Jammu province.”

“The party leaders held thorough discussions on the current political scenario in J&K, pressing public issues, and key party matters. They exchanged views and shared ideas, outlining a strategy to further strengthen the party,” the press release added.

Speaking on the occasion Ghulam Hassan Mir said, “Apni Party is basically committed to its agenda for the peace, prosperity, and development of Jammu and Kashmir, and the party will continue its efforts to realize this agenda, irrespective of whether it holds power or remains outside it.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWhile we may not have won the elections, we have garnered significant support and confidence from the people to serve as a vibrant opposition. Addressing the occasion, Manjit Sing urged the party leaders and senior workers to remain politically active and enhance their public outreach activities in order to remain closely connected with the masses.

He said, “It is our responsibility to highlight the pubic issues and grievances bring these issues into the notice of the concerned officials. For this, we need to remain connected with the people at the grassroots level. Therefore, I request you to enhance your public outreach activities in your respective areas.”

On this occasion, the leaders and senior workers pledged to continue their efforts to realize the party's agenda of ensuring peace, prosperity, and development in Jammu and Kashmir.

Ghulam Hassan Mir presided over the meeting.
