Jammu, Jan 10(KNS): Security forces on Friday recovered an arms consignment dropped by a Pakistan-based drone in the Regal forward area near the International Border in Samba district, officials said.
The seized cache included two pistols, three magazines, 16 rounds of ammunition and one grenade. The recovery was made during a joint operation launched by security agencies following specific inputs about suspicious aerial activity along the border.
Officials said the area was cordoned off and a thorough search was conducted, leading to the recovery of the arms and ammunition.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
No arrests have been made so far.
Security agencies have initiated further investigation to ascertain the intended recipients of the consignment and the route used for its delivery, officials added.(KNS)
