Srinagar, Dec 22 (KNS) The Indian Army has expanded its operational footprint in the Jammu region, particularly in the upper reaches of the Pir Panjal range, a strategic area crucial for maintaining security and stability. A senior officer highlighted the Army's ongoing efforts to foster peace, security, and development through enhanced coordination with local communities and government agencies.
Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva, General Officer Commanding (GoC) of the White Knight Corps, underscored the Army's recent advancements in operational readiness. “We have significantly bolstered our patrols and established new posts, even in the highest mountains and ridges. These achievements have been possible thanks to the unwavering support of the people,” he said.
According to KNS correspondent, Lt Gen Sachdeva made these remarks during a visit to Rajouri, where he participated in a ‘Kaumi Ekta’ (National Unity) meet, an initiative aimed at strengthening civilian-military ties and recognizing the contributions of local communities and veterans in fostering regional stability.

As part of the Army's intensified measures, night movements of security forces have increased, and advanced technology, including helicopters, UAVs, and sensors, is being deployed to maintain peace and security in sensitive areas.
The Corps Commander lauded the Ace of Spades Division for its welfare programs and community engagement, which have been pivotal in building trust in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
Lt Gen Sachdeva also attended the Mendhar Cricket Premier League (MCPL) felicitation ceremony, emphasizing the role of such events in channeling youth energy positively and promoting harmony among communities. (KNS)
