Aspirants Seek Urgent Intervention of CM Omar to Resolve Government Job Waiting List Issue

Srinagar , Nov 2 (KNS): Aspirants on government job waiting lists in Jammu and Kashmir are calling on the administration to implement a one-time exemption to fill vacant positions arising from recent resignations.

The current waiting list issue has left many qualified candidates for roles such as Junior Engineer (JE), Financial Accounts Assistant (FAA), Jammu & Kashmir Police Sub-Inspector (JKPSI), and Village Level Worker (VLW) without opportunities, prompting appeals to state leadership.

In a recent post, aspirants directed their request to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, asking him to prioritize the resolution of the matter. “We humbly request that the Hon'ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah address the ongoing waiting list issue, which has impacted numerous youth and their families. A one-time exemption for early resignations could provide a solution to the current crisis,” they stated.

Waheed Parra, a senior leader from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), also voiced his support for the aspirants, citing similar exemptions that have been implemented in states like Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelParra noted that these measures allow for swift filling of vacant roles and urged Jammu and Kashmir’s government to adopt a comparable approach. “Our youngsters deserve timely intervention. A one-time exemption would provide them with the career opportunities they have patiently awaited,” he said.

The call for an exemption has gained traction as many see it as a necessary step to support deserving candidates who have worked to secure government positions. Advocates argue that the current administrative processes delay activation of waiting lists, leaving candidates at risk of missing out on these career-defining opportunities.

Candidates and their supporters emphasize that such an exemption would not only address the urgent needs of these waiting lists but also ensure that the state benefits from a more efficient, motivated workforce. (KNS)
