Bandipora, June 05 (KNS): Bandipora, a picturesque district known for its natural beauty and tourist attractions, has welcomed its first-ever restaurant on wheels, delighting both locals and visitors.
The innovative concept, introduced by Ishtiyaq Ahmad a resident of Ajas village of Bandipora , is talk of the town, offering a unique dining experience for food enthusiasts.
Named "Food on Wheels," this mobile food van has become a sensation in the valley, transforming the street food culture. Ishtiyaq Ahmad, a highly educated entrepreneur with a vision, took the initiative to start his own business rather than seeking a government job. His food truck, stationed at various locations along the Bandipora-Srinagar Road, has been serving mouthwatering delicacies for several days.
The restaurant on wheels is ingeniously set up inside a refurbished bus, with all the necessary catering equipment installed. However, the real surprise lies on the top of the bus, where a unique seating arrangement has been created. Patrons can relish their meals while enjoying panoramic views of Bandipora from this elevated vantage point.
The seating arrangement is open with a capacity to accommodate around 10 people at a time. “Besides serving meals here, we will also offer food delivery services within a 10-kilometer radius," Ishfaq added.

"I am determined to expand this business and cover all the districts. Initially, our focus will be on tourist hotspots and other prominent locations," Ishtiyaq revealed, emphasizing his commitment to bringing his unique dining experience to a wider audience.
Strategically positioning the food truck on the Bandipora-Srinagar Road has proven profitable, attracting visitors in search of quick and delicious bites. Encouraged by this positive response, Ishtiyaq has already created job opportunities for dozens of individuals.
Currently, he has employed five staff members, including skilled chefs, to ensure the quality and taste of the food remain exceptional.
