Beerwah Residents Demand Dialysis Centre at SDH Beerwah

Beerwah, Dec 18(KNS): Residents of Beerwah and surrounding areas have raised concerns over the non-availability of a dialysis centre at the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Beerwah. Patients requiring dialysis are compelled to travel to Srinagar or other towns, facing significant financial and health challenges.

Patients often need dialysis two to three times a week, and the absence of a local facility exacerbates their hardships. "Traveling to Srinagar for dialysis not only impacts our health but also imposes financial strain due to transportation and accommodation costs," said a local patient.

Residents have also highlighted the difficulty in securing dialysis slots in Srinagar, with some patients having to wait for extended periods, which could lead to critical health complications.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The local population is urging authorities to address this issue urgently. "Establishing a dialysis centre at SDH Beerwah will provide timely treatment for patients and reduce their financial burden," said a local resident.

The situation underscores the need for improved healthcare infrastructure in rural areas. Residents hope that the authorities will act promptly to set up the required facilities, ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare services for the region.(KNS).
