Srinagar, Jan 04 (KNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President, J P Nadda, is slated to visit Jammu with a specific emphasis on crafting an exhaustive strategy to initiate a dynamic campaign in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
The objective is to ensure the party's success in more than two Parliamentary constituencies out of the total five Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir.
Scheduled for Sunday Jan 7, Nadda's visit will involve a day-long meeting with a spectrum of party leaders, including senior functionaries, Core Group members, office bearers, Prabharis, district presidents, and Morcha heads, along with their respective Prabharis in Jammu.
One of the top BJP leaders told news agency KNS that the central focus of the impending meeting is to meticulously devise an all-encompassing strategy, with the goal of instigating a robust campaign in the Union Territory (UT).
“This strategic endeavor aims at clinching victory in more than two Parliamentary seats among the total of five Lok Sabha seats in the region of Jammu and Kashmir” the BJP leader said, wishing anonymity.
Insiders within the party circles have disclosed a palpable eagerness within the BJP to extend its influence across the UT.
“In addition to concentrating on the two Lok Sabha seats in the Jammu region, the party is strategically directing its attention towards the Anantnag-Poonch constituency. Further the forthcoming meeting, scheduled during Nadda's visit, is slated to delve into multifaceted aspects of the imminent polls.
Informed sources have hinted at discussions spanning potential scenarios, election strategies, and soliciting feedback from the party's leadership in the UT regarding the preparedness for the electoral process.
JP Nadda will be joined on this pivotal visit by prominent figures within the party hierarchy, including the national general secretary and Prabahri for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh UTs, Tarun Chugh, alongside co-incharge for Jammu and Kashmir, Ashish Sood.
The gathering will also witness the presence of Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, and party national secretary, Dr. Narinder Singh.
The involvement of such high-profile leaders in the discussion underscores the significance BJP places on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the country. The party aims not only to consolidate its position in known strongholds but also to strategically target regions where it aims to strengthen its presence.
