Tangmarg, Jan 18 (KNS): In a significant move to promote fair trade practices and curb unauthorized activities, the CEO of Gulmarg, accompanied by the AD Tourism Gulmarg, SHO Tangmarg, and Tehsildar Tangmarg, conducted a surprise inspection of the Tangmarg market today.
During the inspection, officials reviewed pricing structures to ensure fair rates and seized goods from several shops operating without proper licenses. Action was also taken against a commercial complex where traders were found engaging in illegal activities.
Speaking to KNS, the CEO of Gulmarg underscored the importance of maintaining order and discipline in Tangmarg, often referred to as the gateway to the renowned tourist destination of Gulmarg. “We have initiated a program where all departments in Tangmarg will work together to inspect and enhance various facilities in the area,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The CEO stressed that while the administration is committed to fostering trade and promoting tourism, it will adopt a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal activities. “Unauthorized commercial operations and illegal vendors will be dealt with strictly,” he added.
The inspection also focused on assessing the adequacy of essential facilities, including parking, dining, and accommodation, to ensure a better experience for tourists. This initiative is part of a broader effort to maintain order and support the rapidly growing tourism industry in the Kashmir.
