Budgam, Nov 15(KNS): A joint team comprising the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Child Welfare Committee (CWC), CHILDLINE, and Budgam Police conducted a child labour rescue operation in Budgam town on November 14, 2024.
The operation, conducted within the jurisdiction of Police Station Budgam, resulted in the identification of five minor children, three from Rajasthan and two from Uttar Pradesh. The rescued children were presented before the District Child Welfare Committee Budgam under Form 17 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The operation was carried out under the supervision of the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) Budgam. The children have been placed in temporary shelter facilities and will be rehabilitated on a permanent basis in accordance with the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.(KNS).
