Bandipora Oct 07 (KNS): International Delhi Public School (IDPS), Bandipora, on wednesday organised a National Science Exhibition, bringing together nearly 2,000 students from different parts of North Kashmir to showcase scientific models, innovative ideas and creative projects.
The exhibition, held under the theme “Innovation and Critical Thinking: Discover, Design and Develop,” provided students with a platform to present their projects and explain their concepts, working mechanisms and practical applications before visitors, teachers and fellow participants, inaugrated by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Nazeer Ahmad Mir.
The inaugural session was attended by Joint Director Education/Joint Director CBSE Kashmir Syed Shabir Ahmad, Director Planning (Jal Shakti Department) Imtiyaz Ahmad, Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Deputy Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Zonal Education Officers, Chairman IDPS Bandipora Fayaz Ahmad and other dignitaries.
Representatives from universities in Bengaluru also participated in the programme.

Students from participating schools put up stalls displaying models and projects based on different scientific concepts and everyday applications. The exhibition witnessed active interaction between students, with participants explaining their work and exchanging ideas with peers from other institutions.
The event also provided an opportunity for students to develop their scientific temperament, problem-solving skills and confidence while presenting their ideas before an audience.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries appreciated IDPS Bandipora for organising the exhibition and commended the students and teachers for their participation. They stressed the need to provide schoolchildren with greater opportunities to experiment, question, innovate and develop scientific thinking.
The exhibition also featured stalls by sponsors displaying educational products and services.
The programme concluded with the felicitation of guests, participating schools, students, teachers, sponsors and organisers.(KNS)
