Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali Demands Fire and Emergency Station at Koteranka

Rajouri, June 3, (KNS): Former Minister and senior BJP leader Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has urged the government to establish a fire and emergency station at Koteranka in District Rajouri.

In a press statement issued today, he emphasized that Koteranka, an additional district headquarters with a population of over 1.5 lakh people, faces challenges due to its terrain and topography. The nearest fire and emergency station is 50 km away in Rajouri, and there are no such stations within a 200 km radius, covering areas such as Reasi, Khawas, Mohre, Chassana, Budhal, Arnas, and Peeri.

Despite the area being densely populated and prone to frequent fire incidents resulting in significant property losses, Ali highlighted that recent sufferers, including Romesh Singh of Kotranka and a handicapped individual, have lost everything, causing substantial financial hardship.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He expressed surprise that a fire and emergency station recently opened at Koteranka was subsequently withdrawn by the authorities.

Furthermore, Ali criticized the State National Conference government for failing to fulfill its poll promises, including providing free gas cylinders, enhancing ration, offering free electricity, employment, and restoring the honor and dignity of the people, emphasizing that it is time for introspection.
