Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNS):Tanvir Sadiq, Chief Spokesperson of the National Conference (NC), has reiterated the urgent need for the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that several governance issues remain unresolved due to the absence of full statehood, urging the central government to expedite the process.

Speaking to the reporters here, Sadiq revealed that NC leader Umar Abdullah had met Union Home Minister to discuss issues, including the situation in Kathua and Sopore. He expressed concern over civilian casualties, stressing that such incidents alienate the people and hinder peace efforts.

“We have taken up the matter at the highest level. While law and order is not in our hands, we are committed to advocating for the rights of the people. There should be no loss of innocent lives,” Sadiq stated.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
