SrinagarJune 2 (KNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the twin occasions of Mela Kheer Bhawani and the annual Urs of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA), popularly known as Shah-e-Hamdaan (RA).
On the occasion of the Urs of Shah-e-Hamdaan (RA), Omar Abdullah paid tributes to the revered Sufi saint, remembering his immense contribution to the spiritual and cultural life of Kashmir. He underlined the saint’s message of peace, love, and brotherhood, and acknowledged his role in introducing and nurturing traditional crafts that are now vital to Kashmir’s identity and economy.
