CM Omar Abdullah Visits Shelling-Affected Areas in Karnah, Assures Relief and Development

Karnah Kupwara (KNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the Pakistani shelling-affected areas in Karnah today, meeting with families impacted by the cross-border tensions. His visit brought a sense of hope to the victims as he assured immediate relief and announced swift rehabilitation for the damaged properties.

In a significant development boost, the CM also reviewed the 12 MW Hydroelectric Power Project, which is expected to enhance power supply in the region. Additionally, he inspected the SDH Tangdar expansion plan, which will increase its capacity from 30 to 50 beds and include a new Dialysis Unit equipped with three machines.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThough the inauguration is postponed, the commitment to progress remains strong.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara conducted a damage assessment of the affected areas and will submit a detailed report to the CM's office. Speaking to the media, the DC stated, "We are providing relief and setting up bunkers in the border areas. While there is significant property damage, we are grateful that there was no loss of life.

The CM emphasized the government's commitment to support border communities and ensure safety and development in the region. His visit sends a strong message of resilience and collective progress for the people of Karnah.(KNS)
