Sadhotra Visits GMC Jammu, Expresses Solidarity with Victims of Pakistan Shelling


Jammu  May 12, (KNS): National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today visited Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu to inquire about the condition of civilians injured in the recent shelling by Pakistan in Poonch. The injured were referred to GMC for specialized treatment.

During his visit, Sadhotra interacted with the attending doctors and received updates on the condition of the injured, many of whom are being treated in the ICU and emergency wards. He appreciated the dedication and tireless efforts of the doctors and medical staff, acknowledging their vital role in saving lives and easing suffering during these difficult times.

“Doctors are the real hope for people in crisis, and their unwavering commitment is truly commendable,” Sadhotra remarked, praising the health workers for their humanitarian service.

He also lauded the resilience and courage of the border residents, who continue to face adversity with strength and unity. Sadhotra called upon the administration to conduct immediate damage assessments and ensure fair compensation for those whose homes, shops, and businesses were affected.

Referring to the efforts of former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in providing relief and health support in border areas, Sadhotra reaffirmed the National Conference’s commitment to stand by the people during times of hardship. He pledged the party’s continued support in addressing the needs of affected communities.
