Blaze Guts Darul Uloom in Tangmarg, Students Rescued Safely Amid Swift Response

Tangmarg, May 13:(KNS): A massive fire broke out at Darul Uloom Jamia Hidayah in Ghaniwani, Tangmarg, late Monday, triggering panic in the area. The blaze, which erupted under unknown circumstances, engulfed significant portions of the seminary, causing extensive damage.

According to Newa AgencyKashmirNewsService (KNS), local residents, Indian Army, Fire and Emergency Services, and the police launched a swift rescue operation. Around sixty students studying at the institution were safely evacuated from the premises, with no casualties reported.

Tehsildar Tangmarg, Ayad Qadri, rushed to the site and took charge of overseeing the rescue and firefighting efforts.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelSpeaking to the media, Qadri assured that the district administration would provide temporary accommodation, bedding, and essential supplies for the affected students.

The fire reduced property and educational materials worth several lakhs of rupees to ashes. Firefighters, with the help of locals, were able to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation. Meanwhile, local residents have appealed to the administration and civil society for urgent support in rebuilding the Darul uloom.(KNS)
