Srinagar, May 24 (KNS): Director General of Police, J&K, Nalin Prabhat (IPS) today chaired a high-level meeting at the Police Control Room Kashmir to review security arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025.
The meeting was attended by Special DGP Coordination J&K S.J.M. Gillani (IPS), ADGP Headquarters M.K. Sinha (IPS), ADGP CID Nitish Kumar (IPS), IGsP of Kashmir and Jammu Zones, senior officers from BSF, CRPF, ITBP, Traffic Police, Railways, SSB, and other security and intelligence agencies.
At the start, zonal police chiefs briefed the DGP about the proposed security plans for the Yatra. DGP Nalin Prabhat directed all officers to strictly implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), adopt proactive security measures, and ensure the safety of pilgrims. He emphasized intensified surveillance, use of advanced technology for real-time monitoring, and deployment of Anti-Sabotage teams along the Yatra routes.
He also instructed officers to continue efforts to dismantle the terror network and enhance threat detection capabilities.
The meeting concluded with a firm resolve to maintain the highest level of preparedness and coordination for the smooth and safe conduct of the Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025.(KNS)
