Baramulla, June 23 KNS): A special felicitation ceremony was held today at the Range Police Headquarters, Baramulla, where DIG North Kashmir Range, Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS), honoured students for their excellent performance during the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations held on June 21 at Professor Showket Ali Stadium, Government Degree College, Baramulla.
Students from both government and private schools across Baramulla district were recognised for their participation and achievements. Among the honoured students were Mohammad Arif and Nasir Ahmad Shah from Govt. Middle School Gofbal; Haziq Khalik and Adil Ahmad Bhat from Govt. Middle School Kalantara; Danish Nabi from Hr. Sec. School Kuchwa; Sahil Majeed Bhat from Govt. Middle School Allapora; Mohammad Faraan from Delhi Public School Baramulla; and Moiz Naseer from Hr. Sec. School Monagam.

During his address, DIG Maqsood-ul-Zaman praised the students for their hard work and spirit. He said their achievements serve as an inspiration, proving that with passion and dedication, young people from even the most remote areas can reach great heights.
He encouraged the students to continue living by the theme of this year’s International Yoga Day, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” and to carry the values of unity, inner strength, and mindfulness into their daily lives.
He also highlighted that yoga is more than physical exercise—it's a path to mental peace, self-discipline, and social harmony. He urged all students to remain physically active, mentally strong, and socially aware.
The event reflects the continued efforts of Jammu & Kashmir Police to support and encourage young talent, especially from underserved communities, helping them dream big and achieve success at the national level.(KNS)
