Srinagar, 07 July (KNS): The President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Vice-President Omar Abdullah have offered glowing tributes to former MLA Kulgam Advocate Shaheed Ghulam Nabi Dar on his 18th martyrdom anniversary. Dar tragically lost his life in a grenade blast in Kulgam in July 2006 while coming out of Hazrat Mantaqi (RA) sb Astana e Alia in main town kulgam.
The leaders also offered tributes to five other party workers from Kulgam who succumbed to splinter injuries in the same incident.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah praised Dar as an honest politician and accomplished advocate who dedicated his life to the betterment of the people in his constituency. "He was a loyal member of the party and will always be remembered for his hard work and humble nature. On this day, I offer tributes to him and pray for his soul to rest in peace," he said.

Party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Additional GS Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, MP Mian Altaf, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Senior party leader Sakina Itoo, others also paid glowing tributes to Late Dar.
To commemorate the anniversary of Shaheed Ghulam Nabi Dar, a Majlis of Fateha-Khawani will be held at his graveyard, followed by a special commemorative function in HC Gam Kulgam on 9th July. (KNS)
