Dr Aijaz Ahmed Hakak Assumes Charge as 35th Principal of Amar Singh College

 Srinagar, Dec 05(KNS): Prof. Aijaz Ahmed Hakak has officially taken over as the 35th Principal of Amar Singh College, Srinagar.

He succeeds Prof. (Dr.) Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, who has been appointed Director of Colleges, Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Hakak was welcomed by the faculty and non-teaching staff of the college, with senior faculty member Prof. G.M. Nengroo leading the reception.

Dr. Hakak brings extensive experience in academia and administration. He has taught statistics for several years and has held various administrative positions. Prior to his appointment as Principal of Amar Singh College, Dr. Hakak served as Principal of Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar, and as Joint Secretary at the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).

He emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration, stating, "I am one among the faculty members, and together, as a family, we will strive to uphold the legacy of academic excellence at Amar Singh College."
Dr. Hakak outlined his vision for the college, focusing on a student-centered approach to education. His priorities include enhancing teaching methodologies, integrating advanced technology, fostering research, and aligning with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020). He also aims to upgrade the college's infrastructure and expand community engagement initiatives, fostering a collaborative environment for both students and faculty.(KNS).
