Jammu, [Date] (KNS): Senior IPS officer Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal (2009 batch), presently serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic, Jammu Zone, has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in recognition of his outstanding contribution to policing and public service.
Dr. Mughal, a native of Bhaderwah in Doda district, has held several key operational and leadership positions across Jammu and Kashmir. He has served as SP/SSP in Handwara, Kishtwar, Baramulla, Rajouri and Srinagar, and was SSP Srinagar during the critical period following the abrogation of Article 370 (2019–2021).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe has also served in Vigilance Jammu, CID Kashmir, Traffic NHW, and most recently as DIG Rajouri–Poonch Range (2022–2024).
An accomplished academic, Dr. Mughal is a Gold Medallist from AMU Aligarh and holds a Ph.D. from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. In addition to the President’s Police Medal, he has received multiple gallantry and meritorious service medals, along with commendation discs from the Army Commander, DGP J&K, VC Naval Staff and DG CRPF.(KNS)
