Srinagar April 03 (KNS): The J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) delegation, led by President Wajahat Hussain Durrani, called on Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference President and MLA Handwara Sajad Lone to discuss pressing issues concerning daily wage workers and casual laborers in the region.

The meeting, which included JKPC Provincial Secretary Kashmir Irfan Mattoo and General Secretary of J&K Casual & Daily Wagers Forum Sajad Ahmad Parray, focused on advancing worker protections through regularization policies and implementation of the Minimum Wages Act at par with Leh and Delhi.

"We appreciate Sajad Lone Sbs commitment to amplifying our concerns at the highest levels of governance. His support has given voice to thousands of workers who have been serving the administration without job security or adequate compensation," said Durrani.

In response, Mr. Lone reassured the delegation of his unwavering support for their cause, pledging to persistently raise the issue until meaningful resolution is achieved.

"This isn't merely about employment policies but it's about dignity and fairness for those who contribute to our public services daily," Lone reportedly stated during the meeting.(KNS)
