Srinagar, January 23 (KNS): Apni Party's senior leader and Media Advisor, Farooq Andrabi, has strongly criticized National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah for his recent remarks on the abrogated Article 370.
Notably, Farooq Abdullah, while addressing workers in Jammu recently, claimed that Article 370 was introduced a century ago to protect the land of Dogras. He stated that the Maharajas had established the provision of Article 370 in 1927 to safeguard Dogra land.
Criticizing Abdullah's remarks, Farooq Andrabi said, "History stands witness to the fact that the National Conference has always sought votes from people in the name of protecting Article 370.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelTheir all-time favorite slogan used to be: 'Chiyoun yazath, miyoun yezath, tre hath satath, tre hath satath' (loosely translated: Your honor, my honor, Article 370, Article 370)."
Andrabi further stated, "Even in the recent assembly elections, the NC leadership lured people by claiming that if they were voted to power, they would restore the abrogated article."
"Abdullah's latest remarks about Article 370 are deceitful. By making such statements, he intends to mislead people. The U-turns from their poll promises by the NC leadership are highly objectionable," Andrabi added.(KNS)
