Former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran calls for justice for open merit students

Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNS): Former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran has called on Jammu & Kashmir's National Conference (NC) leadership and Chief Minister to prioritize the future of open merit students. He criticized the ongoing reservation policies, asserting that they undermine the aspirations of deserving candidates.

“Merit deserves action, not hollow promises,” Imran said, stressing that the leadership must go beyond pre-election speeches and work for the betterment of the valley’s youth. He called for a genuine commitment to ensuring that merit is given the respect it deserves, without being overshadowed by political agendas. (KNS)
