Four days after son, grandson die in Budgam crash, grandfather passes away

Budgam, Sept 16 (KNS): In another tragic turn for a family in Budgam, a 62-year-old man died on Wednesday, four days after his son and three-year-old grandson were killed in a road accident.

The elderly man, identified as Ghulam Hassan Mir, a resident of Ghoom Ahmadpora in Magam, reportedly collapsed at a graveyard while attending the funeral rites of his deceased family members.

Relatives and neighbours said Mir suddenly fell unconscious during the proceedings. He was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Mir’s son, Naseer Ahmad Mir, 29, and grandson Hadi Ali, 3, were killed in a road accident in the Soibugh area of Budgam on September 12.

Naseer’s wife, Dilshada Akhter, 26, was critically injured in the accident and was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

The successive deaths have left the family and residents of the area in deep shock, with relatives and neighbours mourning the loss of three members of the family within four days.(KNS)
