Srinagar, Dec 27 (KNS): National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday said "The future government should learn from Dr Manmohan Singh’s commitment to unity, his vision for development, and his ability to build relationships across borders," he said.
Dr. Abdullah paid heartfelt tribute to the former Prime Minister, who passed away on Thursday. Remembering him as a visionary leader, Dr. Abdullah said Dr. Singh’s contributions to national unity and development would forever remain a guiding light for the nation.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Dr. Abdullah lauded Dr. Singh’s efforts to maintain harmony within the country and foster strong ties with neighboring nations. Highlighting Dr. Singh’s compassionate policies, Dr. Abdullah recalled his efforts to support Kashmiri Pandits, including the provision of over 3,000 jobs and shelters to ensure their well-being until their return to their homeland. Expressing his condolences to Dr. Singh’s family, Dr. Abdullah praised his enduring legacy. "His contributions to the nation will be remembered for all time," he noted.
