Srinagar, Dec 14 (KNS): The central government has greenlit an ambitious ?827.98 crore project to enhance infrastructure and connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative focuses on constructing and upgrading a 4-lane highway from Pandach to Manigam near Wayil Bridge, spanning 12.11 kilometers.
Union Minister for Road, Transport, and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced the approval on the social media platform X, emphasizing the project's strategic and developmental significance.

This upgraded highway is expected to streamline access to key areas, enhancing travel for tourists and defense personnel heading to Leh and Kargil. Moreover, the improved connectivity is set to boost regional security, foster tourism, and improve overall transportation efficiency in the region.
