Srinagar, Mar 15 (KNS) : Chairman People's Democratic Front (PDF ) Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has expressed concern over the Karnataka High court’s verdict about upholding ban on Hijab inside the state-run schools in the state.

Kashmir News Service (KNS), on Tuesday , Hakeem Yaseen while expressing concern over the verdict of the Karnataka High Court to continue ban on wearing Hijab by the girls inside schools , said the verdict amounts to direct infringement in the religious affairs of minority community of Muslims . He said wearing Hijab was an essential obligation of Islamic teachings and dress code .

PDF Chairman said that India being one of the greatest democracies in the world , should respect right to religious freedom of its citizens especially of the minority communities . He has urged the Centre not to fiddle with the religious affairs of Muslims and ensure full religious freedom to all minority communities.(KNS)
