Srinagar, Apr 19 (KNS): Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Friday said that Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement that they will not field candidates from Kashmir region in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections’ is clear admission of BJP that it failed to win hearts of Kashmiri’s after August 05, 2019.
“When BJP fielded its candidates in elections held in 2019 why today they run away from fielding candidates from Kashmir valley? If Home Minister Amit Shah is saying they will not field candidates from Kashmir, it means BJP’s clear admission that the party has failed to win hearts of Kashmiri’s,” Omar Abdullah as per KNS said.
He however said, “Had BJP left ground it would have some meaning, but this is not the case. They are commanding the situation from the back”.
On BJP leader’s repeated visit and meetings in Kashmir with other political groups, the former CM Omar Abdullah said “Tarun Chugh is continuously visiting and meeting Kashmiri political leaders.
Recently he visited Kashmir and met few political leaders ahead of LS polls. This clearly speaks their bonding with these leaders and groups”.
“Our doors are shut for Tarun Chugh. Neither he will come to us, nor will we give him entry. This is the difference between Altaf Bukhari and National Conference,” Omar maintained. (KNS)
