Srinagar, March 25 (KNS): In a strong condemnation of Israel’s actions in Palestine, Congress leader and MLA Irfan Hafeez Lone has urged India to take a firm stance against the ongoing violence in Gaza. In a passionate statement, he emphasized that the world must acknowledge the suffering of the Palestinian people and act to stop the killings.
"You see how they are suffering. Think about Gaza and how innocent lives are being lost," Lone said, highlighting the humanitarian crisis in the region. He invoked the Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which means “the world is one family”, stressing that if this principle truly guides India, then the nation must raise its voice against the violence.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Lone further reminded that India is the land of Mahatma Gandhi, known for non-violence and peaceful resolutions to conflicts. "Our country believes in non-violence. We have always advocated that every problem should be solved through dialogue. Therefore, I believe that our country must take a stand for Palestine," he asserted.
The Congress leader’s statement comes at a time when the international community remains divided over the ongoing conflict in Gaza. (KNS)
