Uri, 20 Jan (KNS) : The Indian Army organised a Job Fair, Rozgaar Mela, at Chinar Nau Jawan Club, Uri, for educated unemployed youth, ex servicemen, and their families from Uri tehsil in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir.
The event aimed to spread awareness about government and private sector employment schemes.
It also helped participants address grievances and access job opportunities. Bajrang Battalion, in collaboration with the REACHA Foundation and under the aegis of Kalapahar Brigade, organised the fair.Fifteen companies took part in the Rozgaar Mela.
The initiative focused on connecting skilled youth with potential employers and creating real employment pathways.
Participants received information on current and upcoming job opportunities. The main goal was to support the local population, especially those living in border areas, and families of ex servicemen.
Youth and ex servicemen appreciated the initiative. They thanked the Indian Army for its continued support to the community.
Local residents highlighted the strong bond between the Army and the people of Uri. Many requested that such Rozgaar Melas be organised more often so more people can benefit. (KNS)
