Srinagar Dec 30 (KNS): The entire Lal Bazar, Nowshera and other adjacent areas are under severe threat in absence of fire and emergency services. There is an urgent need to setup a Fire Service Station in the area to address any eventuality particularly growing fire incident. Govt is required to address the public concern, on priority to ensure safety of life and property.
J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC)General Secretary and Party District President for Srinagar Irfan Naqib said this while reacting to a very recent devastating fire incident in the Lal Bazar area of Srinagar.
Naqib expressed grave concern over the absence of appropriate fire and emergency services in Lal Bazar or in it's adjacent areas despite the fact Lal Bazar and Nowshera areas are densely populated, which could have invited the attention of the authorities with respect to setting up of fire service station, but that has not happened, as yet.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelPeople are feeling scared whenever any unfortunate fire incident happens, Naqib said and added that there is a fire service station in Hazratbal with two fire brigades, but that is neither a solution nor enough to cover Lal bazar, Nowshera and other adjacent areas.
JKPCC General Secretary urged upon J&K Govt especially LG Manoj Sinha to personally look into this urgent requirement of setting up a Fire Service Station in Lal Bazar to address public concern.(KNS)
