Hyderabad, November 8, (KNS)The ITS India Forum, led by President Akhilesh Shrivastava, honored renowned social and mobility activist Umar Bhat alongside former NCT Delhi Deputy Transport Commissioner Anil Chikara and his team at the inaugural ITS India Congress, held at IIT Hyderabad on November 6-7.
Themed “AI in Mobility for Safer, Sustainable, and Connected Roads,” the two-day summit attracted experts from South Korea and Asia Pacific nations. Various engineers, researchers, policymakers, and tech leaders explored AI-driven traffic solutions, autonomous vehicles, and green logistics. Indian firms showcased homegrown AI tools transforming mobility.

Shrivastava hailed the event as a milestone for smarter roads, praising Chhikara’s data-led reforms in Delhi’s transport safety and connectivity. Anil Chhikara also shared the vehicle emission data generation through thermal image which can check pollution in vehicle in motion within seconds for enforcement . MNCs and local innovators forged partnerships to redefine urban mobility.
Keynotes highlighted AI’s role in predictive crash prevention and EV ecosystems. The Congress positioned India as a hub for inclusive, tech-enabled transport growth.(KNS)
