J&K Declares Seven-Day Mourning to Honor Dr. Manmohan Singh

 Jammu, Dec 27(KNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a seven-day State Mourning as a mark of respect to Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, who passed away on December 26, 2024.

The mourning period will be observed nationwide from December 26, 2024, to January 1, 2025, both days inclusive.

According to an official notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the National Flag will fly at half-mast on all government buildings and establishments where it is regularly hoisted.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAdditionally, no official entertainment events will take place during the mourning period.

The decision to observe State Mourning was made by the Government of India to honor Dr. Singh’s immense contributions to the nation as a visionary leader and economist.

Dr. Manmohan Singh served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 and is remembered for his pivotal role in shaping the nation’s economic policies.(KNS).
