Bandipora, 27 Jan (KNS) : In a passionate appeal, JKPCC District President Bandipora, Mushtaq Ahmad Tantrey, has called for the establishment of a women’s college in Bandipora to address the growing educational needs of the region.
Highlighting the district’s rich legacy of knowledge, culture, and natural resources, Tantrey emphasized that Bandipora has long been renowned for its contributions to Alim (knowledge), Adab (literature), and Aab (water resources).
Tantrey noted that the district has produced many intellectuals, educationists, and towering personalities who have made significant contributions to society. Despite this illustrious history, he lamented the lack of a dedicated institution for higher education for women in Bandipora.
He urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and Minister of Education Sakina Itoo to prioritize the establishment of a women’s college in the district. Tantrey stressed that the availability of ample land in Bandipora makes it an ideal location for such a project, which would not only benefit the local population but also serve as a beacon of progress and empowerment for women in the region.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
