SRINAGAR, Feb 20(KNS): Condolences poured in from various segments of society on Tuesday on the passing away mother of news agency-Kashmir News Service (KNS), online editor Sajad Lone.
Jana Begum, wife of Ghulam Mohammad Lone of Kralgund Handwara passed away after prolonged illness at SHMS hospital Srinagar Tuesday evening. The deceased was the mother of Online Editor KNS Sajad Lone. She has been unwell for some time and was under doctor’s observation for the last two weeks.
A condolence meeting was held at KNS office Srinagar wherein heartfelt sympathies were extended to Sajad Lone and other family members, besides the meeting prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Editor Kashmir News Service, Mohammad Aslam Bhat grieved over the sad demise of Jana Begum and extended heartfelt sympathies with the family especially Sajad Lone, who is associated with KNS from a long time.
“May Almighty Allah elevate the departed soul in the highest place of Jannah and forbearance to the family members at this juncture,” Bhat prayed.
Other members of the news wire also prayed for the deceased and extended heartfelt condolences with their colleague Sajad Lone.
Meanwhile, the Handwara Media Association (HMA)expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Sajad's mother. In a condolence message HMA expresses heartfelt condolences and sorrow to the entire Lone dynasty on the sad demise of their beloved Sister.
The body of the HMA, under the Presidentship of Syed Kabir Geelani, along with Syed Imtayaz as Vice President, Aadil Akar as General Secretary, and other members including Dr. Tarique Raheem, Shameem Abdullah, Javid Zargar, Ab Qayoom, Atif Qayoom, Shameem Bhat, Aijaz Manzar, Bhat Danish, Raja Akbar, Tariq Rather, Asif Malik, Shakir Bhat, Sagar Gulzar, Mir Shabir, Shah Khursheed, Ashiq Hussain, Mir Javid, Mudasir Lone, Farooq Bhat, Mudabir Tantray, and Ayoub Khan, expressed deep sorrow and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Also, the Newly elected President of Bar Association Handwara Adv Ghulam Nabi Khan has expressed deep shock and grief over the sad demise of Sajad's mother.
In a condolence message, Adv Ghulam Nabi Khan expressed heartfelt condolences and sorrow to the family on the sad demise of Jana Begum mother of Lone Sajad.

From Kupwara, numerous people, including Senior journalist Peerzada Sayeed, Senior Society Chairman Peerzada Sirajuddin, General Secretary Raja Waqar, Ex-Vice Chancellor Qazi Abdul Wahid, Retired Principal Abdul Hamid, President of Bar Association Qazi Mahboob Ilahi, Retired SSP Shabir Ahmad Geelani, Young Journalist Isfaq Sayeed, Tahir Qudus, and Waseem Baba, extend heartfelt sympathies to the family, particularly Sajad Lone, who has been associated with KNS for a long time.

Furthermore, Bandipora Journalist Association- BJA has expressed grief over the demise of the mother of journalist and Online Editor KNS Sajad Lone. In a statement issued today, Bandipora Working Journalist Association-BWJA expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Sajad Lone's mother, and prayed for the departed soul.
His mother passed away on Monday evening after a prolonged illness. A large number of people participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased at Handwara.
“We pray to Almighty to grant the departed soul the highest place in heaven and courage to the family to bear the irreparable loss” , the statement added.
Meanwhile, the Kashmir Despatch team expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
