Kaman Aman Setu emerges as major tourist attraction, boosts border tourism in Uri

Srinagar, May 21 (KNS): Kaman Aman Setu, renowned for the historic cross-LoC Karawan-e-Aman bus service in the border area of Uri, has become a major attraction for locals and tourists from across the country.

Since opening to the public, Kaman Post has experienced a remarkable increase in visitors from various states, significantly benefiting local residents through border tourism.

"Visitors to Kaman Post are learning about India's heroes who defended the borders during the 1947-1948 war. Busts of war martyrs from that period have been installed along what is now called 'Veer Path,' designed to inspire and educate the younger generation about the sacrifices made for the nation," officials said.

One tourist from Gujarat, named Milian, shared his enthusiasm with KNS: "It is great to visit such beautiful destinations, especially near the LoC. We came to Kashmir from Surat, Gujarat, and learned that Kaman Post is open for tourists. We immediately decided to visit, and it is amazing here."
