Anantnag, Oct 31 (KNS): Taking strong note of allegations of selling food items at exorbitant rates and serving unhygienic food to visitors by Hotels, Dhabas and Restaurants in Pahalgam and its peripheries, the authorities on Sunday constituted a high level team to conduct enquiry into the matter.
Notably, the development has come two days after Kashmir News Service (KNS) reported that visitors in Pahalgam are been provided with unhygienic food by Hotels, Dhabas and Restaurants in Pahalgam and its adjoining areas, besides charging exorbitant rates for the same.
An order issued by Tehsildar Pahalgam, a copy of which lies with KNS states that in view of the news article regarding charging of exorbitant rates and providing of unhygienic food by the Hoteliers, Restaurant and Dhaba owners of Pahalgam, a team headed by Naib Tehsildar Pahalgam Sabzar Ahmad is constituted for conducting discreet enquiry into the matter.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The order stated that the committee shall submit a detailed factual report within a weeks time after ascertaining the facts on ground, by checking and monitoring all the Hotels, Restaurants and Dhabas operating in and around Pahalgam.
"Besides Naib Tehsildar Pahalgam, Sajad Ahmad Veeray (TSO Pahalgam), Altaf Ahmad ASI P/S Pahalgam, Mushtaq Ahmad I/C Tourist Police Pahalgam and Irshad Ahmad Padder I/C Khilaf Warzi Asst. MC Pahalgam are members of the enquiry committee," it reads. (KNS)
