Srinagar, Aug 19(KNS): The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has informed the Lok Sabha Secretariat to include important items related to Jammu and Kashmir in the agenda for the sessions scheduled on Wednesday, August 20, and Thursday, August 21.
On August 20, among several key bills, the House will see the introduction of The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which aims to amend provisions related to the region’s governance structure.
Alongside this, the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025, the Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025, and the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025 will also be introduced.
Following the introduction, the Lok Sabha will consider a motion to refer the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Amendment Bill, together with the Constitution and Union Territories Amendment Bills, to a Joint Committee of both Houses for a detailed review.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
In addition to legislative discussions, the Lok Sabha will hold a special session highlighting India’s first astronaut aboard the International Space Station, underscoring the strategic importance of the space program in shaping the future of India, including Jammu and Kashmir, towards the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047.’
On Thursday, August 21, the House will continue with any pending government business carried over from the previous day.(KNS).
