Man Stabbed in Srinagar; Accused Arrested: Police

Srinagar, Oct 13(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested an individual for allegedly stabbing a man during a dispute over vehicle parking near their shops in the Parimpora area of central Kashmir's Srinagar district.

Srinagar Police in a tweet said that the accused, Zareef Ahmed Mir, son of Ab Raheem Mir, was arrested for allegedly stabbing Amir Razak Mir, son of Ab Razak Mir.

It said that police have registered an FIR (No. 114/2024) under Section 103 of the BNS at the Parimpora Police Station. The police also said that the police have recovered the weapon used in the attack.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel


"An incident in which an individual namely Zareef Ahmed Mir S/o Ab Raheem Mir R/o Parimpora stabbed another namely Amir Razak Mir S/o Ab Razak Mir R/o Parimpora during a scuffle over vehicle parking near their shops," the police said, adding that the victim was declared dead upon arrival at SMHS Hospital.

"FIR no. 114/2024 u/s 103 BNS stands registered in PS Parimpora.The accused has been arrested and the weapon of offence has also been recovered," it said.(KNS).
