Urges Abdullahs to refrain from advocating against hijab ban as none of their family members practise it

Srinagar, Mar 17 (KNS): Peoples Conference youth president, Sheikh Mohammad Imran on Thursday said that on one side Mehbooba Mufti questions hijab ban and on the other side she doesn’t practice the same.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Imran said that the Mehbooba Mufti’s Tweet about hijab ban and the pictures where is herself without hijab smell of hypocrisy and greed for power.

“On one side MehboobaJi questions about the Hijab Ban & cries for denying the dignity to Muslim women. Don’t you get mocked, compromised & lowered when you don't follow & practice the same? Don't these pictures & your tweet smell hypocrisy, greed for power & to be in limelight,” he Tweeted.

He further said: “We need to practise what we preach, she can’t be wearing green dresses and full hijab in J&K but do anti-hijab activities out side. People like her have destroyed J&K, I do not in anyway support hijab ban but I strongly advocate against it as hijab is our right and courts have no right to interfere in our religion,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Imran said that therefore, even Mehbooba Mufti also does not have any right to do advocacy of hijab as it should be left to the people who value and practice it and not hypocrites who practise it for political gains in here, while dress otherwise while being outside.

“Further our religion is not only politicised by BJP but by Mehbooba Mufti too. She is trying to be a better Assadudin Owaisi but now people of J&K can’t be fooled by such dynastic politicians,” she said.

He also said that he would request Abdullah family to refrain from advocating against hijab ban as none of their family members follow and practise hijab.

“I appeal to them to not fool people any more and practise what they preach first and refrain from being hypocrites and greedy for power,” he said.

He further said that this is his personal opinion as a Muslim and it has nothing to do with politics or political affiliation. (KNS)
